Telehealth
Product
Neofect Telerehab is a telehealth platform and portal, allowing clinicians to better support their patients and receive quantitative data to monitor progress with our flagship product, the Neofect Smartglove.
How I helped
Biomarkers
The Neofect Smartglove can measure active or passive range of motion. After analyzing clinically how I would use the Smartglove for patients and what could potentially be measured for progress, I was able to identify 5 additional clinical points of information that would be valuable for the clinician to monitor.
This information analyzed with functional outcomes has the potential to improve the way therapy is delivered and provide better outcomes.

UX Writing
My writing changes depending on the audience. For telerehab, the audience is clinicians and clinics. My voice and tone are professional and highlight what is clinically important: outcomes, security, and productivity.
In contrast, my writing for Neofect Connect is directed towards the audience of stroke survivor. I use simpler language and focus more on empathy, encouragement, and understanding.
Usability and Accessibility Testing
Accessibility testing done with patient and telerehab app
Usability testing done with clinician and clinician’s portal
Reported to product development team on findings, recommendations, and priorities
Accessibility is particularly important when it comes to designing a product for people after stroke who have limited use of one hand. I was able to identify barriers prior to my accessibility test, which allows me to be more efficient and innovative during the process.
